Blizzard '09

What's the hold up... I am ready to GO!!!
Out for an adventure.
Mami I can't put my arms down!

Todd family tradition continues, a ride in the snow.

I'm no fool- I am staying inside where it's warm!

Rappahanock Model Train Show

A cold and rainy Sunday we ventured to the model train show in town. Sebastian had a blast getting to see all the choo-choo's. We were also surprised by Santa. Sebastian still does not know what to make of the bearded man and Vince held off the tears long enough to get a good picture:) The very last pic show Vince still trying to recover from being separated from Mami and not liking the Bjorn.

Visions of Sugar Plums...

... danced in their heads:)

A story in pictures

Groggy Sebastian, peaceful Vince...

Vince is not to sure about what is going on....

Sebastian realizes that I am taking pics and the showman comes out- Vince is not having it!

Sebastian continues to ham it up while Vince shows his feelings!

It's ok Pince- you will learn to love the camera:)

Sebastian

He is such happy guy!!! He always has a smile on his face and LOVES to help. This is a word he uses daily, many times. When Eddie brings wood in for the fire he stands at the door and says help. Eddie has to give him the smallest log and let him carry it to the fireplace. I cannot load/unload the dishwasher when he is around cause he insists on helping. Over Christmas my great-aunt Ana stayed with us and she needs help getting up and walking because of her vision- Sebastian takes her hand and walks her to the bathroom and back. And when he returns her to the living room he pats the couch and says sit:) He loves his little brother, Pince, and can't wait till he can actually play:)

Vince

He is now 10 weeks old and his personality is really starting to show! He LOVES to be held- specifically by Mami. Most of the time he is serious, observing the world with what we call the "Ned" look. At this moment he seems to favor his Pop-pop the most. He has really started smiling alot. The first social smile was recorded on Thanksgiving day, he presented this special gift to his Mami:) His vocal skills are coming out... he coos with the best of them! Te rpm's of a car will sooth him 9 times out of 10. He had his 2 month check-up weighed in at 14lbs 10oz 23.75 inches long.

Procrastination

The past coupe of weeks have just rushed right by... with getting ready for Christmas, the snow storm, the WONDERFUL Christmas surprise, and taking care of two babies... I just have not had the time to blog. I will attempt to get to date before the years end:)

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

The past 7 1/2 weeks have gone by like a blur!!! We were just getting into a groove when Vince came down with RSV. The following 2 weeks I was a zombie... living on survival mode! Now that Vince and Sebastian are all better I am able to enjoy the little moments.

Vince LOVES to be held... being sick only further established his love of being held- especially by Mami. In the past week he has "ventured" happily out of Mami's arms into the bouncy seat, the swing, and the arms of Daddy. This is not an exact science but it is getting better and my arms are getting a break:)

Sebastian LOVES his baby!! I can not leave Vince in the swing (or in arm's reach of Sebastian) and step out of the room if Sebastian is there... all he wants to do is "hold baby" and kiss baby and touch baby. He has said "Vince" a handful of times, majority of the time it is "baby".

Life here in the Todd Ranch is happy. We are blessed with 2 beautiful and healthy boys. God is good and faithful!!

Abuela Update

God is so good and faithful!!! Abuela was de-intubated today. The plan was to watch her today and if all was good then to upgrade her to a regular room( no more ICU). Thank you all for your prayers!!!

First snow of the Season- Vince's 1st snow:)

Vince had a quick meet and greet with the snow on Sunday.... Since he is younger than Sebastian was when he first encountered snow, he (Vince) did not go sledding or "playing" in it. I also did not subject him to sitting out in it when it was falling... He liked it ok but sure did not like the sun in his eyes!

60 degrees in December:)

I am having technical difficulties getting to type ABOVE the pictures- oh well. Sebastian had a blast running around and Vince enjoyed his nap in the cocoon of his stroller:)

Thanksgiving 09

We had a small and "quiet" celebration at home to keep both boys away from unnecessary germs. Eddie rocked out a delicious turkey on the grill, and the women folk took care of the side dishes. The evening was wrapped up by a jam session courtesy of Ramon and Eddie. Having my hands full with Vince my camera skills are not up to par!

Prayer Request

My Abuela is back in the hospital, but in Venezuela. She is blessed to have lots of family who are doctors and she is getting the best care, but she is in the ICU in an induced comma. We pray for wisdom, healing, and access to all the meds she needs. Thank you for your prayers!

Update on Vince

As many of you know, Vince was admitted to the emergency room via ambulance on Monday, after he was seen by his pediatrician. He had battled RCV all weekend and when his breathing became labored it was time to take him in, he also started running a high fever (for an infant 100.3). After spending 6 or so hours in the ER, he was transferred on a stretcher by Ambulance to Richmonds VCU Medical, a PICU team made the trek up from Richmond to monitor him during the trip down, Mammi got to ride by his side while Daddy drove the herlander close behind. Vince is still in the Progrossive Pediatric Unit at VCU, but it looks good that he may be discharged tomorrow. He is completely off the oxygen as of this morning and is nursing well. He had a rough night and cried for about 3hrs straight and nothing would sooth him. Thanks for all of the many prayers, it is much appreciated and we know that God has answered them. God Bless, update to follow - The Todd's.
