Our festivities began at Charlie and Linda's house to visit with Santa Clause before the "big night"! Sebastian did GREAT!! No tears, no screams, no desperate look to Mami for rescue:) He sat happily in Santa's lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas:)

Who are you?

Today was the Christmas production at church... Santa had a guest appearance. Being in the show I pulled some strings and had Sebastian's first encounter with Santa. Glad to report that there were no screams, no moments of terrors, etc... He just looked at him with a inquisitive look. He gets to see Santa on the Christmas Eve and we will work on getting a smile out of him:)

December Update

As it is in most homes this time of year, the month of December has been a crazy one. Some of you may already know that we had two people in our family pass on to be with the Lord, our brother in law Bill's Grandmother Evelyn and our Uncle Jim. It is hard to loose a family member, especially hard during the Christmas Season... We thank everyone for their support and ask that you continue to pray for the family.

A magical evening in the 'Burg

The first Saturday in December is always spent on the streets of Old Town watching the Christmas Parade. This year was extra special, seeing as this was Sebi's first Christmas Parade. And to add to the magic of the night- it was snowing!!! It was a light snow, but snow none the less!!! On my camera there were only a couple of pictures taken- if I get my hands on the pictures on Kirsten's camera, I will share them:)

The Spirit of Randy lives on!

On Wednesday evening we went to get our tree, it was cold:)

But mom, I can't put my arms down!

Turkeys, Wedding, and Christmas!

Did someone say TURKEY!!!

We had a jammed packed weekend!! On Thursday we spent the afternoon at Guita's house where we not only celebrated Thanksgiving, but Tia Ana's 88th birthday. The family hired a mariachi band to play her "Las Mananitas" a song traditionally sang to the birthday girl on her birthday morning. The band was great! Everyone sang along for the mini concert. At one point Guita, Tia Marie, and Tia Gaby joined the mariachi band to take lead vocals!!!

tryptophan hit early for our little guy:)

After eating we packed up and headed back to the 'Burg to wrap up Thanksgiving with the Todd side of the family. There was football, music, dancing, and foosball:)

On Saturday Sebastian spent the day at Mama and Papa Dillards with his Tia Stephanie while Mami and Daddy went to Tia Helen's and Rob's wedding. It was beautiful:) The ceremony was preformed in a historic little church right beside the National Cathedral. The weather was perfect so they were able to get some great shots outside:) After the ceremony we headed to Fort McNair's Officer's Club for the reception. Right by the water- we could see the Washington Monument! To see these pics we have to wait for Tia Nino to upload and share- we were in charge of the video aspect of the day and do not have pictures to share...

Sebastian's first trip to Amish Country

Over the weekend, Sebastian had his first out of town trip with the Hooch-Haches. We picked up Tia Erin on Saturday morning and headed up to Lancaster. With all the outlets, we just HAD to do some shopping:) So, Sebastian got his Christmas clothes and PJ's and some other comfy winter clothes. I also found his Halloween costume for next year... I know what you are thinking, but I could not pass up this deal!!! Sebastian will be Mickey Mouse:) After shopping we went to dinner at El Serranos- excellent Peruvian cuisine!!! The evening was wrapped up watching a movie and with Tia Stephanie knitting Sebastian a hat, attempt #1. Turned out too big so she knocked it out in a couple of hours on Sunday morning. Of course no trip to Lancaster would be complete without going Undercover Amish. This is were we get in the car and drive around in pursuit of the Amish with Starbucks in hand. After that we gassed up and headed home.
