The Story of a Pumpkin and a Mouse

Once upon a time there was a little pumpkin. He was a sweet little pumpkin kind to all the pumpkins in the patch. But he had dreams of a bigger world outside the patch. One day he set out to see this great big world.



In the 99 acre woods of Monte Verde, there lived a little mouse. This little mouse was full of laughter and joy. He longed to meet a special friend. He set out on a dirt road to find that special friend.


After many days of traveling their paths crossed!!!! Instantly they became the best of friends and traveled the great big world in search of adventures together!!!!

Elijah and Sebastian meet!!!!

Last Wednesday the 15th Sebastian got to meet his cousin Elijah (Rafa's boy) for the first time!!! It was a very joyous occasion!! Elijah is 2 and 1/2 months older than Sebastian, though you would not know it by looking at them;)

Camping 101: Shenandoah River State Park

Course covered basic camping skills; setting up a tent, starting a fire, cooking over an open fire, mountain biking, surviving cold nights, and keeping a baby happy during it all.

The Marine Corp Museum

Uncle Tom and Aunt Nancy have been in town for a quick visit and today we headed with them, the Sullivans, and the Bitto's to the Marine Corp Museum. It was really special to share this experience with Uncle Tom, a retired Marine helicopter pilot.

Eddie has gotten back into mountain biking and has made it a family affair... Last week we became the proud owner's of a bike trailer that we call Sebastian's Chariot :)

A whole day at the National Zoo

Guita took the day off, and the four of us (Guita, Ceci, Sebi, and I) packed the car and headed for the National Zoo. Once again we were blessed with AMAZING weather!!!! In the mid 70's with a slight breeze... perfect day to be out and among the animals!!! Every animal we saw instantly became Ceci's favorite. At the end she settled on the Cheetah:) 6 hours later and some cute pictures to show, we called it a day:) Oh, also very important to note that this was Sebi's first trip to the Zoo!!!! I asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he said "Being carried in the Baby Bjorn... I just love being so close to you and the view is great!!".... too bad for my back :)

Fall Festival

The weather was perfect, the company abundant!! Ramon and his girlfriend, Kyla came to celebrate bdays and to visit with Cecilia. We took advantage of the awesome weather and went to the Manassas Fall Festival... which was lots of fun. The first thing we saw was the....

Ms.NY and Ms. Toronto carved a sea turtle and 2 owls out of a log. It was quite impressive. Sebastian was very interested in all the noise- he gets this from his daddy:) Here is the little man taking it all in:

Eddie and Sebastian got to grunt and have some male bonding as they talked about the monster truck....
