Deep Thoughts by Carmen
Eddie at home= less computer time. This is not because he is monopolizing it, it hurts his neck to be at the computer... but since he is around my "free" time is used differently.

Please Support My Fundraising Efforts
As some of you know my dear friend Liala's mom has battle with breast cancer for many years and has just got the diagnosis that it has returned for the fourth time. In support of her battle I have decided to join Liala and her mom Martha in the fight to end breast cancer by participating in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure®.
Tens of thousands of people will gather on the National Mall on June 5 to take a stand and prove that individuals have the power to change the world.
Without the cures, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 10 million could die over the next 25 years. That's why I'm joining the fight. I hope that you'll support me.
I've set my personal goal at $125. So I need your help. You can give online at GlobalRacefortheCure.org.
Up to 75 percent of the Komen Global Race's net income stays in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to fund local screening, treatment and education programs for the medically underserved. The remaining dollars support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Global Promise Fund, a program which is dedicated to reaching underserved people in areas where breast cancer mortality rates are the highest.
Every dollar makes a difference:
$100 could be used to provide one mammogram
$250 could be used to cover five clinical breast exams
$500 could be used to provide five diagnostic ultrasounds
$1000 could be used to provide 10 mammograms
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
P.S. Ask your employer if they will double your donation through a matching gift program!

Where has the month of March gone?
The past two weeks have gone by like a blur!! Eddie is recovering quickly from surgery- PRAISE GOD!!! Sebastian, Vince, and I are enjoying all the time we are getting to spend with Daddy!!! A couple of "milestones" that have occurred during the past 2 weeks:
1) Mami and Daddy went to the movies!!!! We took Vince along with us, but we made it and Vince slept the whole time:)
2) Sebastian has transferred over to his "big" boy bed.
3) Vince was babysat by our dear friend Andrea and then later Guita for a couple of hours while I was at the Hospital with Eddie.
Eddie still has a minimum of 1 week if not 2 weeks left of recovery. We will be very sad the day he returns to work:(

Eddie's Surgery
We are now in day 3 of post surgery recovery. Eddie is doing very well, PRAISE GOD!! His pain is managed with meds and he is able to get around pretty well. The site of the incision is not to bad... he took the bandage off yesterday. It is horizontal and has 8 Staples. If you know me, you know that if I can look at it and not faint, it can't be that bad! The one thing that has been a struggle for him is that he can not pick up the boys. Sebastian does not quite understand that daddy can hold but not pick up... We thank you all for your prayers!
